About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our UK Healthcare Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the sustainability aspects of healthcare projects, raising the profile and reputation of the team, and inspiring and enthusing engineers and technicians on your projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sustainability and NZC aspects of healthcare projects
  • Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
  • Undertake and oversee sustainability concepts and design philosophies
  • Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians on your projects
  • Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
  • Support key accounts and develop new clients
  • Support UK Healthcare team sector business development strategies
  • Produce high quality fee proposals
  • Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services
  • Manage your own projects and act as sustainability project manager to allocate resources and co-ordinate tasks

About the Team

You will be part of an expanding and dynamic team, working with leading UK and international architects. We offer a supporting and collaborative culture and operate a flexible working policy. You will have the opportunity to travel throughout the UK and abroad.

Requirements:

  • Must have demonstrable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Membership, or qualifications leading to membership, of a relevant professional institution
  • Background of sustainable design, including building physics and environmental assessment
  • Proven experience as sustainability consultant
  • Thorough understanding and use of digital design tools appropriate to the role, including delivery through Revit/BIM 360
  • Excellent and demonstrable sustainability knowledge and skills, with the ability to run multiple projects of varying size and complexity
  • Understanding of project commercial and technical risks
  • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing
  • Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders
  • Able to work autonomously on all technical aspects of the discipline
