Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Services Professional to join our team at Imerys.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Automation Engineer to work with us in providing electrical, instrumentation, control and automation knowledge and support to maximise plant and equipment availability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Plant to the highest possible standard by optimising current equipment, identifying potential improvements and supporting/leading the implementation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Plant to the highest possible standard through optimisation and improvement of current equipment.
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Providing engineering support for other maintenance & installation activities.
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance plans are carried out on time and in full.
  • Ensuring all work areas are clean and free from hazards.
  • Diagnosing faults on instrumentation systems and calibrating as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An Advanced Modern Apprenticeship NVQ & BTec Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Maintenance Engineering
  • Experience of industrial electrical, control and instrumentation systems (values, sensors, probes, and control circuits)
  • Proven experience of fault finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • A background of working within a chemical or oil refinery industry or heavy production / manufacturing/ process environment
  • Good level of IT skills with previous experience of working on a Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • Licence to drive in the UK
