We're currently seeking an experienced Principal or Associate Utilities Infrastructure Consultant to join our Infrastructure & Environment Team. As a key member, you'll provide technical, commercial, and procurement advice to large developers and project managers on utilities infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of utilities infrastructure, including costs, programme risks, and delivery methodologies. You'll work closely with our existing team to deliver high-quality projects and contribute to the growth of our business.
Your Responsibilities:
- Meet with commercial and residential developers, utility undertakers, and independent network operators to understand development needs and develop proposals that meet their requirements.
- Consult with the wider design team to identify opportunities, risks, and costs associated with client development proposals and advise on these via reports, meetings, and presentations.
- Procure specialist utility contractors and undertakers by developing scopes and specifications as part of a wider Employers Requirement document.
- Manage the delivery of critical utility enabling and new connection works alongside third-party Project Management and Cost Consultancy Practices.
- Report back to clients on progress and issue instructions to contractors.
- Lead utilities progress meetings to advance the works.
- Review as-constructed data and reconcile final costs.
- Understand your impact on project costs and profitability using timesheets.
- Take ownership of delivery through an intimate understanding of client needs and project costs.
Benefits Package:
We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including enhanced annual leave entitlement, company pension contribution, access to healthcare schemes, wellbeing support services, season ticket loans, and cycle-to-work schemes.
