About Our School

Located in Northamptonshire, our school is part of a national group of 13 independent OFSTED-regulated schools. We offer approximately 35 pupils on roll, providing ample opportunities for children who need a supportive environment to thrive.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of SEN to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our SEN department, developing and implementing effective strategies to support students with special educational needs.

You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education and care. Your expertise and guidance will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) and experience working with students with special educational needs
  • A National Award for SEN Co-ordination / NPQ for SENCOs or be in the first 3 years of a SENCO role
  • A Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in managing student discipline and providing high-quality pastoral care

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with parents, carers, governors, and colleagues.

The salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per year, dependent on experience.
