Senior Electrical Engineer for Data Centre Project

Location: Slough, UK

Salary: €90k - €95k

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in data centre projects to join our dynamic team for an urgent and critical data centre project in Slough, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with project designers and clients to ensure seamless integration and compliance with UK Electrical Regulations.
  2. Evaluate Technical Requirements: Assess electrical design documentation against client, ISO/EN/BS standards, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  3. Coordinate System Integration: Work with designers and specialist sub-contractors to determine and manage system integration requirements.
  4. Develop Technical Reports: Develop weekly technical engineering progress reports and implement systems to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  5. Perform Technical Validation: Perform and validate cable types/sizes calculations, containment capacity studies, and develop cable matrix schedules and construction work packs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Technical Expertise: Demonstrable experience with mechanical and electrical DH building services systems, HV/LV Power Distribution, and various integrated systems (Generators, UPS, CBS, PMS, EPMS, BMS, Chillers, HVAC, Utilities, Fire Alarm, Security).
  2. Technical Proficiency: Proficient use of BIM360 / Navis and a solid understanding of Electrical Standards and Systems including Medium and Low Voltage Networks, Electrical Switchgear and Power Distribution, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Life Safety Systems, Security and Access Control.
  3. Problem-Solving Ability: Effective in identifying and offering solutions to design discrepancies impacting project milestones.
  4. Adaptability: Ability to adapt and respond to changes, communicate commercial implications, and ensure project continuity.
