About the Role


We are seeking a Chartered Financial Planner to join our team at Hymans Robertson. As a key member of our corporate services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial planning services to our clients.


Key Responsibilities



  • Build a strong book of clients through workplace activities, professional connections, and other channels.
  • Work closely with our paraplanners and financial administrators to deliver excellent client outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers at major UK corporates.
  • Deliver presentations to large groups and establish strong relationships with individuals, demonstrating empathy and a client-centric approach.
  • Use a centralised investment proposition and deliver positive outcomes for clients.
  • Work collaboratively with our corporate team to deliver workplace services, including webinars, seminars, and one-to-one guidance sessions.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' financial circumstances, current provisions, and future aims and goals.
  • Prepare plans and financial strategies tailored to individual clients' needs.
  • Review and respond to clients' changing needs and financial circumstances.
  • Proactively contact clients with news of market or legislation changes affecting their savings and investments.
  • Meet all regulatory aspects of the role, including requirements for disclosure, costs of services or products provided, and accepting responsibility for the advice provided.
  • Adhere to all compliance processes and procedures, including maintaining a valid Statement of Professional Standing.
  • Keep up-to-date with financial products and legislation and complete training and competence requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication with support teams and provide them with the required minimum client information ahead of the research process.
  • Provide excellent levels of proactive and positive communication with the paraplanners and administrators you work with.

Requirements



  • Chartered Financial Planner status and level 6 qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience as a regulated financial adviser.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to large groups of people.
  • Ability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, determination, and tenacity.
  • High levels of numeracy and IT skills.
  • Personal attributes such as an ethical approach to work, focus on excellent client service, high levels of professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to apply discretion and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Team player, supportive of colleagues, and helping others develop their careers.
  • Self-motivation, organisation, and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Flexible approach to work.
