About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our team at Gap Technical Ltd. Based near Conwy, this 6-month contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of £11.44.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist the technology team with administrative tasks, including managing purchase orders and operational instructions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for technology meetings;
  • Distribute information related to tunnel closures and planned maintenance tasks;
  • Provide meeting secretariat services, including arranging meetings, inviting representatives, and minute-taking;
  • Update and distribute department risk registers;
  • Coordinate the technology team's supervision of planned maintenance tasks and asset inspections;

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to develop good working relationships with staff from various departments and partner authorities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Able to work in a team environment;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to receive, assimilate, and evaluate information from multiple sources;
  • Experience of administrative office work;
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Access;
  • The ability to prioritize work effectively;
Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, having the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject;
  • Experience of tunnels or mechanical and electrical infrastructure facilities;
  • Knowledge of office health and safety;
  • Experience of working in an electrical and mechanical maintenance environment;
  • Management experience of creating, reviewing data, and creating reports;
  • Knowledge and experience of highways and tunnels maintenance;
