Key Responsibilities:

* Performs engineering calculations, prepares specifications, performs analyses, performs testing, issues reports and maintains related data
* Maintains liaison with design and drafting groups
* Prepares and reviews drawings as required
* Advises the Lead Project Engineer about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, delays and adverse problems
* Ensures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks
* Plans and schedules engineering efforts associated with assigned project
* Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities
* Keeps proper engineering files and records
* Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments
* Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities and pursues additional training
* Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others
* Familiar with codes, permits and company cornerstone applications
* Familiar with the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within engineer's discipline
* Can read and understand construction drawings
* Can fully integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutions
* Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

* Ideally Degree Qualified or HNC/HND in engineering discipline
* Previous experience in highly regulated industries
* Proven experience in delivering projects of over £1 million
* Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills
* Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment previous experience of managing high value projects
* Proven knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management

Security Clearance:

You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
