We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor within our company. As a valuable member of the team, you will contribute to ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Assurance: Review and approve subcontractor RAMS and SOPS to ensure compliance with AWS standards.
  2. Workplace Audits: Conduct regular site audits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Performance Improvement: Ensure delivery of legislative compliance and promote continuous improvement of safety and performance.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Support site teams in identifying solutions and options to overcome issues, delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings, and wellbeing campaigns.
  5. Employee Engagement: Encourage reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with operatives and supervisors.
  6. Temporary Works Verification: Review risk assessments and method statements, verifying temporary works are implemented safely.
  7. Accident Investigation: Conduct investigations of incidents and accidents, identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence.
  8. Training Needs Assessment: Report incidents and assist in identifying safety training needs for site-based personnel.
  9. Report Submission and Follow-up: Submit reports within agreed timescales and ensure actions from investigations are acted upon.
  10. Preventive Initiatives: Suggest, communicate, and promote initiatives for accident prevention, promoting innovation and different ways of working.
About Your Qualifications and Experience
  • A sound knowledge of CDM 2015.
  • Full UK driving licence, with mileage claimed at HMRC rates.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction background.
  • Experience with SCADA and telemetry in a utility environment.
  • Familiarity with WITS (Worldwide Industrial Telemetry Standards) is an advantage.
