Career OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Bank Chef to join our team at Maes-Y-Wennol. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals that cater to the diverse needs of our residents and staff.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, with excellent culinary skills and the ability to manage a kitchen team. You will work closely with our Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and staff to ensure that our menu meets the dietary requirements of our service users.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and serve meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner.
- Provide a varied diet catering for the cultural preferences of those who use our services.
- Cater for celebrations and other events in our Home.
- Order supplies within approved guidelines, using recommended suppliers.
- Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
- Participate in inspections by Environmental Health and/or care regulators and Local Authorities.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and Welfare policies.
- Manage the Catering Team effectively.
