Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Dermatologist with a surgical interest to join the dynamic and innovative Dermatology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced surgical level of skills in Dermatology and working closely with the existing consultant team to provide a wide range of dermatology services in partnership with primary care colleagues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties of the post, specifically the development of the department's Patch Testing specialist service and TENs service.
  • Ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.
  • Ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and respond to their views.
  • Demonstrate, model and encourage Trust Values at all times to all patients and staff.

  • MRCP/ FRCP
  • Past record of academic achievement. Publications.
  • On specialist register (or within 6 months of CCST at interview)

  • Wide and in-depth training in Dermatology/General Medicine.
  • Established record in Advanced Surgery

  • Proven track record in innovation, service improvement and system redesign
  • Experience in teledermatology
