About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and timely service to our clients in relation to residential property matters. This will involve ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, processing client matters on a timely, cost-effective, and profitable basis, and using correct office systems and procedures to manage cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Process client matters on a timely, cost-effective, and profitable basis
- Use correct office systems and procedures to manage cases effectively
- Collect outstanding disbursements and bill promptly and collect money due to the firm
- Maintain professional standards
- Maximise the firm's potential to cross-sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities
- Compose correspondence and documents, including drafting contracts, transfers, and accounts
- Liaise with outside agencies, including search companies, HMRC, and Land Registry
- Open and close files when required
- Carry out all conveyancing procedures
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of the law and attend appropriate training courses
- Promptly respond to client enquiries, telephone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Attend clients when they visit the office or on the telephone
- Handle confidential files and other information
- Check files regularly for removal of non-active files
- Accurately record all time spent on client matters in accordance with standing instructions
- Complete a risk assessment for all new files
- Monitor risk on individual matters on an ongoing basis
- Support fully and cooperate with the firm's Compliance Officers
- Play a full part in the development of the Department and staff
We offer a range of benefits, including:

- A 10% bonus of all fees paid over £125,000 at the end of the financial year, payable in March of each year with a top-up payment once figures are finalised in April
- Entitlement to share in the firm's incentive scheme, which presently pays a bonus to all staff if targets for the transfer of costs are met of £200 per quarter
- Opportunity to receive 8% of the fees received on any files, exclusive of VAT, for introducing clients to the firm who instruct us on any work
