University Placement Opportunity

This is a 12-14 month placement for students in their penultimate year of study. The placement will be based in our Sheffield office and will provide valuable experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

You will support our Statistical Programming group in analyzing and reporting clinical trials. Your tasks will include:
  • Producing datasets for statistical analysis and regulatory submission purposes, utilizing SAS Software.
  • Learning about the pharmaceutical industry, what is involved in conducting a clinical trial and getting a new drug to market, as well as good clinical practices.


As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience to help you during the final year of your degree course. You will work closely with colleagues in other locations and have the chance to contribute to our patients-first approach.

Required Skills:

Excellent analytical skills

Knowledge of SAS

Knowledge and understanding of the programming and reporting process.

Ability to learn new systems and function in an evolving technical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Third year student studying an Undergraduate/Master's degree with a sandwich year as part of their UK University course.
  • BSc/MSc student studying a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer sciences, computer and management studies.
  • Knowledge of a statistic methods application such as SAS, R, MATLAB, SPSS.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a global project team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to develop and learn new skills.
