We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Specialist to join our team at Stanley Grove, Manchester. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals who have experienced homelessness achieve stability and independence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to empower customers to reach their full potential and build independent lives.
- Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs, developing and updating comprehensive support plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and guiding them effectively.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers, ensuring their choices, privacy, and dignity are respected at all times.
- Collaborate with external support networks to enhance customer well-being, promote employment opportunities, and facilitate educational pursuits.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed written records of customer interactions and progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with adults who have faced homelessness.
- A positive and flexible attitude with a strong commitment to helping others.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well.
- Strong organizational abilities, along with proficient written and numerical communication skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while meeting deadlines effectively.
- A recognized qualification in Health and Social Care (NVQ3 or equivalent) is essential.
