About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at the VOL Renal Dialysis Unit (RDU) in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing haemodialysis treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the dialysis unit, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, working closely with the renal team.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in renal services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
  • Basic knowledge of renal disease and treatment options, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
