About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer to join our team at Oliver's Travels. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in the ongoing development of our website, translating designs into high-quality code with complex user interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new website features, ensuring functionality aligns with design specifications.
  • Convert designs to code, focusing on precision and detail, with a solid understanding of semantic HTML and CSS.
  • Integrate APIs, ingesting and displaying data on the front-end and passing data back to our services using GraphQL and REST APIs.
  • Maintain our headless WordPress setup, including managing updates, applying security patches, and optimizing performance.
  • Customize WordPress functionality to meet evolving business requirements, including customizing plugins and building a great editor experience with ACF and Gutenberg.
  • Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and delivered on time.
  • Optimize user experience, continuously monitoring and improving the performance, accessibility, and usability of front-end components.
  • Ensure code quality, reviewing and testing your own and your colleagues' code to meet high standards.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript, React, and CSS.
  • Expertise with Tailwind and API integrations using GraphQL and REST APIs.
  • Experience with headless WordPress, WordPress plugins, and working in a cross-functional development team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an eye for good design.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on high-traffic travel, e-commerce, or similar websites, with experience with large-scale CMS projects and at least 1 year operating as a senior developer.
