Bilingual Educator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) educator to join Dunbar Education, a high-achieving secondary school in Dudley.

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging students in both linguistic and cultural understanding, preparing them with the skills and knowledge to excel in MFL.

This role involves teaching French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating dynamic lesson plans that focus on language acquisition, grammar, and cultural knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching: Teach MFL subjects to students at KS3 and KS4, promoting a love for languages and cultures.
• Lesson Planning: Develop engaging resources and share best practices to enrich the language curriculum.
• Assessment & Progress Tracking: Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing targeted support to help them achieve their best.
• Classroom Environment: Establish a positive, inclusive environment that motivates students to participate actively and build confidence in their language skills.

About You

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience seen as an advantage.

The successful candidate should have a genuine passion for languages and a commitment to engaging students and fostering their appreciation for diverse cultures.

Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent, with a degree in MFL or related discipline
• Experience teaching French, Spanish, or German at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience advantageous
• Strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to inspire students to enjoy language learning
• Dedication to supporting the school's mission of academic excellence and contributing to the success of the MFL department

Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 per year
