Job Title: DT Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DT Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities within the DT department to support the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities within the DT department to support the curriculum.
  • Working closely with teaching staff and students during lesson time.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and setting up of machines, tools, and equipment for demonstrations and practical work.
  • Maintaining all hand tools to be in good condition and stored correctly.
  • Ensuring that workshop machinery is regularly inspected and maintained.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate and maintain workshop tools.
  • Responsibility for testing new equipment.
  • General maintenance of the workshop.
  • Ensuring that the workshop runs within health and safety requirements.
  • A Workshop Safety Certificate is essential.
