Role Overview

The Nuclear Physics Package Engineering Group at AWE plc is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role will involve working with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative design solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and testing engineering systems, as well as preparing technical reports and documentation. They will work closely with customers to translate requirements into engineering solutions and contribute to the delivery of conceptual designs, detailed designs, manufacturing specifications, product specifications, operational documentation, and validation evidence.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a degree in a mechanical engineering discipline, experience of producing mechanical designs for manufacture using 3D CAD software, and awareness of the development, testing, and evaluation of engineering designs.

Security Clearance
