Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Hilton Hotels. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest and member experiences, and training staff to work within budgeted guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of our food and beverage outlets, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • Recruit, manage, train, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assist with annual and mid-year appraisals, providing constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.
  • Work within budgeted guidelines, controlling costs and maximizing revenue.
  • Develop menus with the Food and Beverage team, ensuring alignment with Hilton's brand standards.
  • Accountable for monthly stock takes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Incentivize team members to maximize sales and revenue, driving business growth.
  • Deputize for the Food and Beverage Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous food and beverage management or supervisory experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of financial systems, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of work situations, including peak periods and emergencies.
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Positive attitude, with a passion for hospitality and a desire to develop and grow.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, guests, and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations, including varying shifts and duties.
  • Excellent grooming standards, reflecting Hilton's brand image and values.
