Financial Planning and Analysis Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis professional to join our team at IHG Hotels & Resorts. As a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering financial insights and supporting business decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide financial management and analytics support to Group FP&A, Finance business partners, and business stakeholders to drive business performance.
  2. Perform decision support activities such as reporting on Group P&L performance, system size and pipeline analysis, and providing support with management contract valuations.
  3. Support the preparation of financial presentations for the Executive Committee and Board, including providing valuable insight through accurate commentary.
  4. Provide support with the verification process of Annual Report and quarterly stock exchange announcements.
  5. Be flexible to provide ad-hoc reports and analysis, including scenario modelling to support decision making.
  6. Identify process improvement opportunities and support the delivery of improvements in processes and systems.
  7. Build strong relationships within the DS and with the SSC, and collaborate to deliver high-quality outputs.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting-oriented study. Preferably working towards a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  2. Preferably, experience as a finance analyst, including experience with operational planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, management reporting, scenario analysis, and modelling skills, with a preference for leisure and hospitality or similar single-unit, multi-revenue stream operations.
  3. Experience in audit with knowledge of financial statements and financial principles would be beneficial but not essential.
  4. Understanding of trading metrics and key drivers that impact operations revenue and cost.
  5. Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint. Prior use of Oracle, Essbase, and/or reporting tools a distinct advantage.
  6. Ability to prioritize and operate effectively in a fast-moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
  7. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  8. Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Critical thinking and ability to connect and explain the linkage between drivers and outputs.
