This will involve ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently, while meeting safety, health, environmental, and financial targets.
Key Performance Indicators- Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance resources to deliver excellence in plant reliability.
- Enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance plan.
- Collaborate with the planning department to ensure suitable parts, labour, and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
- Ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
- Coordinate deployment of labour, parts, and equipment resources.
- Manage the section mechanical team concerning productivity, motivation, and discipline.
- Monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs are proceeding to plan.
- Supervise the carrying out of preventative maintenance inspections.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in a similar role. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Specifically, you will need to have:
- An apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or national certificate (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 2 years experience as a Mechanical Coordinator, Maintenance Team Leader, or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant.
