Argyll and Bute Council, United Kingdom Carr Gomm Full time

We are seeking a nurturing and supportive individual to join our team of Homecare Mobile in Oban. As a Care Support Worker, you will work closely with a colleague to provide high levels of care to vulnerable adults in their own homes.

Our care-at-home service enables people to stay in their own homes by providing help with daily living. We support individuals differently, working with them to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

The role of the Homecare Mobile Practitioner is to provide short-term care-at-home, assessing each person's needs to provide the best possible support now and in the future. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure that individuals receive the support they need to prevent re-admission to hospital.

As a Community Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting people who do not have access to regular care in their own homes. You will work with a colleague to provide care and support, enabling individuals to live independently and maintain their dignity.

We offer a range of benefits, including:

  • 35 days holiday per year
  • Fully funded SVQ qualification with support from a dedicated team
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and sick leave
  • A Defined Contribution pension scheme, with incremental employer contributions
  • Membership to Telus; employee well-being and perks platform
  • Membership of a credit union
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Discounts with leading hotels

We welcome applications from any candidates already eligible to work in the UK or those that can apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK. You will be asked to share proof of this prior to receiving any offer of employment.
