Crane and Lifting Gear Field Service Engineer

Location: Staffordshire

As a Crane and Lifting Gear Service Engineer, you will work closely with a supportive boss who understands the needs of field service engineers, providing realistic workloads, ongoing training, and the right equipment to ensure success.

Compensation:

£45,000 to £48,000 total earnings, consisting of approx' £40k basic salary plus approx' £5k from overtime and paid travel time. Additional benefits include a van, pension, and paid holiday.

Work Schedule:

Mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine lifting gear safety checks, servicing, and replacing moving parts.
  2. Support colleagues with installing new equipment.
  3. Troubleshoot problems and make repairs.
  4. Upgrade and modify equipment.
  5. Inspect equipment to ensure safety standards are met.

Career Progression:

Includes training on new equipment and opportunities to specialize in areas of interest, ranging from service engineering to installation and commissioning.
