Electrical Project Engineer

At Mech Electrics Limited, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic M&E team based in Oldham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that electrical engineering projects within the built environment are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to completion of the M&E works. Ensure all projects are delivered according to the plan, programme, and budget.
  2. Technical Expertise: Apply your technical engineering experience to solve complex challenges, provide innovative solutions, and ensure that all technical aspects of the project meet the required standards.
  3. Communication: Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers. Build and sustain strong working relationships to facilitate smooth project execution.
  4. Site Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly monitor on-site electrical works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  5. Meetings and Coordination: Attend and actively participate in project meetings, coordinating with all parties to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  6. Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk analysis and management to identify potential issues early and implement effective mitigation strategies for the electrical install.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant electrical industry qualifications.
  2. Proven experience in managing large-scale, high-value electrical engineering projects within the building services field.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software. Strong IT skills, including the use of project management and office software.
  4. In-depth knowledge of H&S regulations and best practices within the engineering and construction industries.
