Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our excellent Primary School. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner.
  • Build positive relationships with Class Teachers to discuss and implement effective strategies and learning activities.
  • Prepare resources for lessons to enhance learning experiences.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
  • Engage actively with pupils, forming positive rapport and encouraging their learning.

Key Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service).
  • A recognised Childcare-based qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and rapport with pupils and staff.
  • Resilient, proactive, and positive nature to handle challenges effectively.
  • Experience in classroom support is beneficial, though not essential.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential and flourish in their education.
