About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at HMP Bullingdon. As an Escort / Fabric Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain the prison's fabric and ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Use hand and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the prison's facilities and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools and ability to use them safely and effectively.
  • Previous experience of working in a building fabric or hard FM environment.
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
