PRS Air Conditioning Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, covering the maintenance of commercial, retail, and commercial contracts across the region.

This is a permanent position offering a competitive package, including a basic salary of circa 40k, half-hour each way travel, and a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.

On-call arrangements will be discussed and agreed upon, with a standby payment of £115 per week, plus enhanced rates for weekend and bank holiday work.

We also offer a 5% pension contribution, 25 days annual leave, and 8 bank holidays, as well as staff discounts and the provision of electric vans with home charging facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing Predictive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on split systems, chiller units, condensers, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Completing compliance checks and general maintenance works, including small installation projects and emergency repairs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
Requirements:
  • A qualified AC-R Engineer with experience in PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Previous experience in plant room maintenance, including AHU and fan coil works.
  • A valid driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • F-Gas certification and experience working in commercial facilities.
