Main Responsibilities

As a Lead Delivery Manager at the BBC, you will be responsible for driving delivery and achieving successful outcomes at scale for multiple digital products, services, and teams.

You will implement streamlined delivery processes and optimize workflows across multiple digital product domains, overcoming impediments and managing risks to maintain delivery momentum.

You will advocate for and coach delivery managers and large teams in agile/lean techniques, leading your delivery team to build empowered self-organizing teams.

Role modeling, demonstrating, and sharing knowledge of scaled agile delivery practices, you will drive inclusive, diverse, and positive work cultures.

Requirements
  • Deep knowledge and broad experience of implementing agile and lean tools and techniques to ensure efficient delivery across a complex digital environment at scale.
  • Proven experience in leading large teams in diverse product domains within a digital portfolio.
  • Ability to advocate for agile practices at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience in creating a learning culture and environment where continuous improvement of teams' working practices can happen, including measuring success, inspecting, and adapting.
  • Experience in developing and mentoring delivery managers, with a focus on nurturing high-performance teams.

Reporting into the Head of Delivery for News and Sport, you will demonstrate inclusive behaviors to inspire and guide teams.

You will be responsible for the delivery of complex digital outcomes crossing multiple digital products and services, and improvements to our ways of working.

Our delivery community is part of the BBC's Product Group responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the BBC's diverse portfolio of digital products.
