Job Summary:
The York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Medicines Management Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a hospital pharmacy setting and work towards a pharmacy qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with ward-based Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure the safe and secure storage of medicines on the wards.
- Assess patients' own medication to check its suitability for use.
- Maintain medication supplies for inpatients on allocated wards by completing regular locker checks.
- Ensure efficient use of medicines by facilitating the safe transfer of medication around the hospital.
- Prioritize and facilitate discharges.
- Dispense inpatient and discharge prescriptions.
Requirements:
- GCSEs in Maths & English at grade C or above or an equivalent qualification.
- Meet the essential criteria of the job specification.
