Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Step Teachers. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic progress and personal development of our students, while also ensuring the smooth operation of the school through cover supervision duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Cover Supervisor during teacher absence, ensuring that pre-prepared work is completed and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
- Uphold the school's behaviour management policies and intervene as necessary to address any disruptions or issues that arise during cover supervision.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and assessment materials.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events as required.
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree – obtained within the last 5 years or have at least 6 months of experience within the UK at a Secondary school as a Cover supervisor that can be referenced.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate students.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced educational environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team as a Cover Supervisor.
- Flexibility to take on cover supervision duties as required.
