Electrical Project Manager

D I ELECTRICAL is an Electrical, Refrigeration, and Mechanical contractor based in London with a focus on serving the retail sector. We offer design and installation services tailored to meet the unique needs of retail establishments, from boutique shops to large-scale chains.

Job Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Project Manager located in Chester Area. The successful candidate will have experience of using NEC4 contracts and familiar with CDM regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and examine drawings and specifications provided by clients or main contractors.
  • Design review of electrical installations and project estimating.
  • Ensure the delivery of the projects are on time and to budget and ensure profitability of the projects.
  • Regularly report aspects of the project to clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder.
  • Ensure we are working to a set programme and highlight areas where this cannot be met. Assist in the preparation of programmes where required.
  • Technical submittals and RFI submittal/resolution.
  • Health and safety file preparation together with the production of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Management of the project staff including site supervisors, electrical operatives, and labourers together with the management of sub-contractors including sub-contract health and safety, variations and valuations, final accounts.
  • Manage all aspects of labour, plant, and materials.
  • Ensure all works are planned and materials, plant are ordered in good time to avoid delays.
  • Complete 4-6 weekly lookaheads to ensure our site staff are productive and highlight potential blockers in completing or starting agreed works.
  • Delegate activities within the Project Team, while still managing to build strong working relationships.

Requirements

  • Electricity, Electrical Design, and Electrical Engineering skills
  • Experience in electrical contracting and budgeting
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
