Job Title: Peripatetic Music Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational visiting Drum Teacher to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Peripatetic Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching drums to students across a broad age range, from beginner to senior grades. You will create your own timetable in accordance with school policy, ensuring weekly lessons of half an hour are taught to your students on a 1:1 basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach drums to students across a broad age range
  • Create your own timetable in accordance with school policy
  • Oversee Percussion during orchestra rehearsals
  • Direct a popular ensemble
  • Perform at school concerts and various other musical events
  • Enter students for instrumental exams
  • Provide parental feedback on an ongoing basis

Requirements:

  • Significant performance experience
  • Diploma or degree in performance desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Contract: Self-employed

Location: Northampton

Salary: You will set your own fees and these would be paid directly to you from the parent/guardian
