Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Therapist to join our team at Priory Hospital Bristol. As a Family Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing systemic family therapy services to patients and their families, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessments and interventions for patients and their families, using a range of systemic family therapy approaches.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Offer advice and consultation to colleagues on the psychological care of patients and their families.
- Contribute to ward rounds, CPAs, MDT assessments, team formulations, and care planning.
- Run reflective groups to develop systemic thinking across staff groups.
- Work closely with other professionals as appropriate to ensure comprehensive care.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management of patients.
Requirements
- Qualified Systemic Family Psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) via the College of Family Couple and Systemic Therapy.
- Educated to MSc level in Family Therapies.
- Experience in both 1:1 and family/group work, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care in inpatient mental health services and outpatient mental health services.
- Previous experience within Eating Disorders would be desirable.
