Job Title:

Electrical Engineer for Renewable Energy Projects

Location: Scotland, United Kingdom (On-site)

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in renewable energy to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing high-voltage electrical projects for energy hubs, focusing on solar, wind, and biomass power sources.

Purpose:

As an Electrical Engineer for Renewable Energy Projects, you will be accountable for developing and implementing low-carbon electricity initiatives, working closely with the Engineering Projects Director. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing project scope and Capex estimates to justify projects to the Finance Team and secure board approval.
  2. Supporting compliance and planning functions in obtaining necessary permits and regulatory approvals.
  3. Preparing and obtaining detailed tenders from suppliers and analyzing bid proposals.
  4. Overseeing the implementation, commissioning, and validation of low-carbon electricity projects to achieve commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing high-voltage electrical projects for energy hubs.
  2. Collaborating with the Engineering Projects Director to develop low-carbon electricity initiatives.
  3. Preparing project scope and Capex estimates to justify projects to the Finance Team.

Person Specification:

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with:

  1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing high-voltage electrical distribution projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  2. Proven track record of delivering high-value capital projects in the utilities sector.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal customers, business partners, and suppliers.
  4. A strong commitment to ensuring safe environments and practices.
  5. A positive attitude towards continuous improvement and exceptional internal customer service.
