Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of financial statements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
You will have a comprehensive set of general accounting and tax skills and experience, and will be a friendly team player with a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and reviewing accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies, as well as overseeing client bookkeeping, VAT provision, and management accounting.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with clients within practice, and will be adept at using accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero. You will also have strong communication and advisory skills, and will be able to mentor junior team members in a positive and constructive manner.
About the Role
- Plan, prepare, and review accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies.
- Oversight of client bookkeeping.
- Oversight of VAT provision.
- Management accounting.
- Financial statements.
- Payroll and pensions.
- Company secretarial duties.
- Liaise directly with clients, sending final accounts, proactively handling queries, and building trusted relationships.
- Forecast and manage budgets, oversee workflow, and mentor junior staff with training and knowledge sharing.
- Prepare personal and corporation tax computations, including tax returns, tax liabilities, and providing trusted advisory.
- Work closely with senior team members, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met.
- Promote and strive for customer service excellence and set an example to junior staff as a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant.
