About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Team Leader to join our team at Co-op Digital. As a Customer Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the store team, coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members, and delivering great customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and thoughtful service to our customers, taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations
- Develop and implement coaching and training programs to enhance the capabilities of our Customer Team Members
- Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational, managing diligence checks and stock accuracy
- Support the Store Manager by deputising when they are not working and delivering a variety of HR processes
- Lead the introduction of new products and services in the store, working closely with the team to implement change and encourage open and honest feedback
- Build relationships with customers and colleagues, supporting the Store Manager with the delivery of the local Co-op community plan
Requirements
- A genuine care for the needs of customers and members
- The ability to strike a balance between leading and supporting the team and rolling up your sleeves on the shop floor
- Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A desire to learn, grow, and develop leadership skills
- The flexibility to work a range of different shifts
