Job Title: Occupational Health Specialist
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Additional Resources. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will perform health screening procedures following company protocols, general baseline measurements, and health surveillance tasks. Your duties will include providing assistance and carrying out tasks related to the health surveillance program, conducting drug and alcohol testing, and administering audiometry and lung function testing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform health screening procedures following company protocols.
  2. General baseline measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
  3. Provide assistance and carry out tasks related to the health surveillance program.
  4. Conduct drug and alcohol testing and fitness for work medicals.
  5. Administer audiometry and lung function testing.
  6. Ensure accurate recording of all medical information.
  7. Maintain serviceable, clean, and purpose-fit equipment.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Specialist or in a similar role.
  2. Ideal background in Healthcare Support, Ambulance Services, EMT, or Military Medic.
  3. Strong communication and IT skills.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 7:15am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:15am - 11:45pm
