About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Loughborough. As a key member of the operational team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth and expansion into property development, high-end residential, student accommodation, and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
  • Develop and implement the procurement programme.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
  • Submit monthly applications for payment to the client or client's representative.
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuation reports.
  • Submit invoices for certified value and ensure timely payments.
  • Value and authorize payments to subcontractors.
  • Liaise with Contract Managers to establish project specifications and requirements.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and clients/customers, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Monitor contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and time scales.
  • Assist in the control of contract budgets.
About the Company

Our client is a £7m turnover business with ambitious growth plans, aiming to reach £20m in turnover within the next three years. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can support their operational teams and contribute to their success.

Requirements
  • Good build knowledge and experience in commercial responsibilities such as procurement, surveying, estimating, and JCT contract knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet demanding timescales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
