About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Learning Disability Nurse to join our LD CAMHS team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will provide high-quality behavioural and sleep assessments and interventions to children and young people who have a Severe Learning Disability and who exhibit challenging behaviours.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive behavioural and sleep assessments for children and young people who have a Severe Learning Disability.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of each individual.
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
  • Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as required.
  • Traveling across the Cheshire area as needed to provide timely support to clients.
  • Providing group workshops to parents.
