The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proactive and smooth operation of refrigeration maintenance services across multiple sites in Brighton.
Salary: Up to &49,000 per annum
This is a key position, requiring the individual to carry out planned and reactive maintenance at several site locations.
As the first line of contact for service and maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining service and repairing Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations, providing assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.
Key Responsibilities:- Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- Identify non-repairable faults promptly and advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
- Ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
- Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
- Participate on an out-of-hours standby rota and arrange communication of any cover required due to holidays/unforeseen circumstances to the Line manager.
- Be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks.
- Order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
- Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the requirements of the job, carrying out repairs as necessary.
- Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/RFM.
- Complete all work to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
- Carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
- Attend training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- NVQ/C&G Refrigeration Based Qualification or similar.
- Refrigeration knowledge and experience.
- Electrical knowledge.
- Air Conditioning expertise.
- Mechanical knowledge.
