Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at APEX APPOINT LTD as an Electrical Systems Specialist. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in electrical engineering, who is passionate about optimizing production efficiency and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical plant equipment.



About the Role


The successful candidate will serve as the electrical specialist within our Engineering team, mentoring and providing on-the-job training to colleagues. Key responsibilities include:



  • Serving as the electrical specialist, providing guidance and support to colleagues
  • Ensuring maximum operating efficiency by maintaining all electrical plant equipment
  • Reducing downtime through regular Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical faults across all installations
  • Performing both preventative and general maintenance tasks
  • Applying continuous improvement techniques to enhance plant operations, focusing on quality, cost, and safety improvements
  • Completing daily maintenance logs and job cards efficiently
  • Conducting inventory checks to ensure spare parts and materials are always stocked
  • Participating in comprehensive on-the-job training to learn production machinery operations


Requirements and Qualifications


To be considered for this role, you should have:



  • A time-served Engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds
  • Experience with 18th Edition IE Regulations or equivalent
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to stay focused and efficient under pressure


What We Offer


In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience), a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, and flexibility for occasional weekend work. Our benefits package includes profit-related pay and private health cover. Reliable transport is essential due to our rural location.
