You will lead a team of finance professionals, overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, accountability, funding, compliance, and transactions.

Your deep understanding of financial principles, industry regulations, and strategic planning will be essential for GBN's financial growth and sustainability.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the organisation's overall business objectives, considering the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the nuclear sector.
  • Lead the formulation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial planning and resource allocation, in line with a five-year Spending Review approach.
  • Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements that comply with regulatory requirements and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks and safeguard the organisation's assets.
  • Identify and evaluate potential opportunities for business growth and strategic investments, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven track record of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with significant experience in the nuclear industry or another complex, highly regulated sector.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data, identify trends, and develop strategic solutions.
