About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our client's R&D department in the South of the UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key project constraints such as scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio and R&D leaders to define project requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Work with Product Management and R&D teams to identify solutions and create actionable project plans.
  • Develop accurate time and cost estimates for projects.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and communicate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate resources from departments outside the core R&D team to deliver a comprehensive solution to the company's sales channels.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
  • Background in Electronics and Embedded Software.
  • Strong ability to lead teams in estimating task durations, identifying and mitigating project risks, and proactively managing resources to meet project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of product development life cycles.
  • Proven success in delivering new products to customers in a product development environment.
  • Skilled in writing and understanding technical documentation.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
