Learning Support Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at the East Kent Colleges Group. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with high levels of need, ensuring they have the best possible chance of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those with Autistic Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, and Physical needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Assist students with personal care, mobility, and specific medical/feeding needs, as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the support team.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting students with high levels of need. You will have:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other support staff.An understanding of behavior management and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.A passion for inspiring students to be active in their learning and achieving their full potential.Experience working with students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those with visual and/or hearing impairments, global development delay, and language & communication difficulties.What We Offer
