About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our community-based treatment services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, coordination, and support to individuals in their recovery journey
  • Work in partnership with community-based treatment services, homeless outreach provision, and criminal justice rehabilitation/recovery services
  • Develop and maintain regular contact with clients, offering advice, information, and psycho-social interventions
  • Conduct assessments, risk management planning, and work closely with clinical staff around prescribing needs and partner agencies
  • Act as a 'key worker' to a caseload of service users, supporting them to decide their goals around treatment and develop plans to achieve these
Requirements
  • Understanding of substance and alcohol use and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey
  • Ability to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis, with flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to service improvement
