Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in French to join our team at Carrington West. As a key member of our geotechnical consultancy team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality outputs on large, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assignments in the UK and overseas, supporting the delivery of high-quality outputs
  • Assist in the implementation of best practice and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical capability within the skill area
  • Implement and adhere to Company procedures in the management, delivery, and administration of Services
  • Monitor time and budgets against assignment programme and agree appropriate actions where necessary
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnically related subject
  • Preferably UK chartered, or nearly chartered, in a relevant discipline
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical and engineering geological processes and design
  • Experience in geotechnical design, including deep and shallow foundations, deep excavations, and retaining structures
  • Proficient in 2D finite element analysis software and geotechnical software
Competencies
  • Technical: Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met, whilst delivering high-quality work
  • Team: Strong team work to contribute to and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Languages: Proficient in foreign languages, particularly French and Spanish
