Howdens is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing site in East Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely manufacturing high-quality panels to meet our exacting specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing machine pre-use safety checks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Setting up machines and processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitoring machine performance during production and making adjustments as needed.
  • Producing confirmations on our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Conducting detailed process quality checks to ensure compliance with area SOPs.
  • Changing tooling and performing minor adjustments to maintain housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced factory environment, preferably in production or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and understand manual handling risk assessments and SOPs.
  • Background in edge banding technology and/or CNC cutting/drilling.
  • Wood machining experience is highly desirable.
