About the Role

PIE Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the East Midlands - Derby area.



Key Responsibilities


  • Creatively research and prospect key business sectors using business intelligence to build a solid prospect pipeline.
  • Take ownership for achieving predetermined monthly sales targets in line with company objectives.
  • Create and maintain a new business development plan that clearly articulates and demonstrates your methodology.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM system with follow-ups set for prospects as well as existing customers to maintain and build on relationships for repeat business.
  • Negotiate and offer solutions for our clients on our products, services, and vehicle specification.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within your prospects – your chameleon nature will enable you to engage with all levels of decision makers.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements for new customers within agreed guidelines.
  • Build close relationships internally with the operations function and bid management to ensure that your customers receive the best possible experience.


Requirements


  • A minimum of 5 years in a B2B Sales environment would be largely preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Rental, or Fleet Management market would be preferred.
  • Ability to build a pipeline, manage a sales cycle from initial enquiry / outreach to order to delivery of the vehicle.
  • A Consultative sales approach with an ability to identify issues that their services can repair.
  • A tenacious approach to creating new business opportunities through self-sourced leads via cold calling, prospecting, and Vehicle spotting.
  • A strong ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Take responsibility for own performance.
