Manual Machinist Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Aberdeen, working within the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Manual Machinist to carry out machining work on new products and client-supplied equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manual machine operation, preferably with experience on horizontal borers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out machining work on new products and client-supplied equipment, following route sheet instructions.
  • Machine manufacture of products to controlled drawings and route sheet instructions.
  • Machine finishing of valves and equipment after welding and PWHT.
  • Maintain traceability at all stages of production and ensure good housekeeping in all areas.
  • Perform daily maintenance routines on machines.
  • Carry out in-process inspections as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in operation of manual machines, preferably horizontal borers.
  • Fully qualified or time-served in a relevant trade.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Aberdeen.
  • Full UK driving license.
Benefits
  • Salary: £20.54 per hour.
  • 8-hour shift, 40-hour week with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Day shift: 08:00am to 16:30pm, Monday to Friday.
